Things you need to know in MyLot

1. Posts: $0.01 to $0.05 per post.
2. Discussions: $0.001 per response, minimum 10 responses to get paid.
3. Comments: $0.001 per comment minimum 10.
4. Photos: $0.01$ per click on your photos, by OTHER USERS so don't go about clicking on your photos it wont earn you anything.
5. Referrals: you earn 25% of every referral's earnings per day.
6. Earnings are updated every 24 hours.
7. You will get paid monthly with a minimum account balance of $10. You have the option to increase your minimum payment to $25, $50 or $100.
8. All payments will be in US dollars.
9. You have to earn your minimum payout by the end of the month in order to receive your payment on the 15th of the following month.
10. If you miss the end of the month cut off, you will receive your payment the following month.
11. Make sure that all the information on the payment page is correct and accurate. If any information is incomplete or inaccurate, your payment will be withheld. For example: Please do not give initials for your name, make sure you enter your correct city/country, and do not make up names for any of this information. (Name: E. Parker; City: I Don't Know, Country: Somewhere; will not be accepted).
12. Make at least 10 posts per hour.
13. Start at least 1 discussion per day.
14. Provide quality responses, if your response is not relating you might get '-' which will reduce your earnings and post points.
15. Always add tags to your discussions (highly recommended), responses, comments, pictures. Tags act as traffic to your discussion. For example if you start a discussion on “movie”, be sure you add tags related to your movie i.e. its genre: action movies, romantic movies or just movies. By this you can be sure that your discussion will be posted also along these discussions with the same tags. Also some users search for a specific word, some more TRAFFIC!
16. The max tag word is 10 words.
17. Avoid one liner.
18. Give '+' to whomsoever who deserves it because of his/her response/discussion/comment.
19. Give '-' to MyLot rules and regulations violators, ex. one liner, abusive/offensive matter, etc.
20. If you make friends, try to answer their discussions also, it helps you make a reputation.
21. Always mark best responses to your discussions; it helps you build a reputation.
22. Once you have built your reputation it will be easier to find responders to your discussion.
23. You will get a rating number inside a colored star after you complete 100 posts. It represents how active you are on MyLot i.e. posting, discussing, commenting, rating, uploading, marking best responses etc.
24. You'll find a lot of people that boast about making 100 or more posts a day, which I guess you could if you really wanted too. But if you want to make decent discussions and get paid from MyLot more you better just concentrate on the quality of posts rather than quantity.

Things you need to know about photo

Avatar picture

1. Go to the left bar, click on “edit your preferences” and go to the top of the page, under myLot big blue logo, click on the tab “customize your profile”.
2. Click “Browse” and select your preferred avatar picture.
3. Click "update" and your avatar picture will appear under "current avatar".
   

Delete current avatar picture

1. Go to the left bar, click on “edit your preferences” and go to the top of the page, under myLot big blue logo, click on the tab “customize your profile”.
2. To delete your current avatar, check the box next to "Delete Current Avatar?”.
3. Once this is checked, click "update" box at the bottom.
4. This will delete your current avatar and you can add a new avatar.
   

Photos

1. When I try to upload a photo, it says I have reached my limit, why? To fight abuse this feature has been implemented in myLot. Please try to upload pictures again tomorrow. Wait for about 24 hours after your last upload.
2. You can upload about 20 to 30 photos a day.
3. Only users with a rating over 500 will be allowed to upload photos into comments and responses.
4. How do I upload an image in my discussion?

• To upload an image in your discussion, start a new discussion.
• Once you have completed entering the details of your discussion, click on "add an image" located at the bottom left of the page.
• Upload your photo that relates to your topic, give your photo a subject name, and give some details about your photo.
• Next add tags to your photo.
• Once this is complete, click "upload your photo" and continue with the discussion process.
  

5. You can also upload photo in your interest.

• Click your interest tab at the top of the page above the myLot big blue logo.
• Click on one of your interest that you have listed with myLot. It should be a blue color underline text link.
• On the right side of the page, click blue link “upload photo”.
• Click “Browse” and select your preferred picture.
• Upload your photo that relates to the interest topic, give your photo a subject name, and give some details about your photo.
• Next add tags to your photo.
• Once this is complete, click "upload your photo" and you will get a chance to upload the photo or removed it.
  

6. You can not delete photos that you have uploaded. You can only delete photos on your profile page.

7. I am having problems with my images, what can I do to fix the problem?

• First, make sure the image you are attempting to upload is in a common format such as .gif or .jpg.
• Next, make sure the filename is simple and short with no spaces or funny characters.
• Next, make sure the file is less than 5mb. We do not allow images over 5mb.
• After you upload the file, we compress the file further to a max of 256k. If the compression fails, the upload fails completely.
• If none of these tips help, it's possible that the image is corrupted.
